During the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday period (September 30th to October 2nd), HKGSA (Hong Kong Drifting Sports Association) held multiple events at the drifting race track. First, on September 30th, there was a charity test ride day where many spectators had the opportunity to experience drifting, and our Westlake team participated as well. On the same day, in collaboration with the Motorsport Association, a charity booth was set up, and the funds raised were donated to the Christian Hong Kong Lutheran Social Service Tsuen Wan Integrated Service Centre, which provides services to low-income families in the Tsuen Wan area. Westlake responded to the charity event by providing Westlake towels, clothing, jackets, and umbrellas to support the operation of the charity booth.
Next, on October 1st and 2nd, during the Challenge Drift Carnival, our Westlake team participated in the team competition. There were eight teams competing on the same day, and each driver gave their best performance, showcasing outstanding skills. The Westlake team demonstrated their strength and team spirit. Every driver performed exceptionally well, displaying excellent drifting techniques and coordination, leading our team to achieve an impressive second place in the team competition. This is the first team award our team has received since its establishment, and we sincerely congratulate every team member for their efforts and contributions.
This event not only showcased the passion and technical level of drifting in Hong Kong but also brought together support and participation from various sectors. We would like to express our gratitude to all the spectators, drivers, and sponsors for their support, which contributed to the tremendous success of this event.
Furthermore, we will continue to strive for excellence, showcasing even better performances, and actively participating in future events. We look forward to more exciting competitions and activities, further promoting the development of drifting in Hong Kong and fostering a greater understanding and love for this sport.
